Ultra-Wide Input, Railway/Transit DC/DC Converters
Now available from MPD, the MR4011SRU series is a family of single output 40W DC/DC converters packaged in a compact 1 x 2 in case. They are specifically designed to provide the ultra-wide input range, robust performance, rugged packaging and high reliability required for railway/transit applications.
Six standard models operate from wide 40 VDC to 160 VDC (110 VDC nominal) inputs, providing tightly regulated single outputs of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24 or 48 VDC. Standard features include line/load regulation less than 1.0%, I/O isolation of 3,000 VDC, a remote control input and efficiency as high as 91%. They are protected for output short circuit faults and output over current faults. All models comply with multiple industry standards including EN 62368, EN 50155 and EN 55032. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) is greater than 500 khours.
The MR4011SRU family is packaged in a compact 1 x 2 in metal case. All models are also available in a case with an integrated heatsink. The pin-out is industry standard. Operation is specified for the wide industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
With it’s compact packaging, wide input range, and high I/O isolation, the MR4011SRU series is an excellent choice for a wide range of industrial applications. They are particularly suitable for railway/rolling stock applications with their EN 50155 and EN 55032 compliance.
