MicroPower Direct has introduced the MPO-40S Series – a compact, economical, 40W
open frame AC/DC converter. The series is available with several output voltage
options, including 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, and 24V.
The MPO-40S series is designed to ensure operational stability and safety with built-in
protection features such as overload, short-circuit, overvoltage, and undervoltage
protection. The converters also offer high efficiency, reaching up to 92%, which ensures
energy conservation and lower heat dissipation during use. The series operates over a
wide temperature range of -40°C to +80°C. Designed for robust performance, these
converters are housed in a standard 2" x 1" shielded metal case, which provides both
electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and mechanical protection. The MPO-40S
series is compliant with EN 55032 Class A for EMI.
The MPO-40S series is designed with remote on/off control and output voltage
trimming, which enhance its operational flexibility. Additionally, the converters are RoHS
compliant, meeting international environmental and safety standards. Overall, the MPO-
40S series by MicroPower Direct combines compact size, high efficiency, and extensive
protection features to deliver reliable performance in critical applications where space,
cost and efficiency are key considerations.
