MicroPower Direct has launched the MPL-05SC series – a compact, 5W, open frame AC/DC. Designed for demanding engineering applications, the MPL-05SC delivers high efficiency, compact dimensions, and reliable performance in harsh environments.
The MPL-05SC operates over an input range of 85-305 VAC. Additionally, it supports DC input voltages of up to 430V, offering flexible deployment options across AC and DC applications. The unit is built with reinforced insulation, ensuring a high isolation voltage of 3,600 VAC between input and output.
The MPL-05SC operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, made possible by its efficient thermal design and low power dissipation. The series achieves efficiencies of up to 81% and is rated with a mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeding 1000 kHours.
The MPL-05SC series provides multiple output voltage options, including 3.3V, 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, and 24V models. Voltage regulation is tightly controlled to ±1.5% under nominal conditions, and load regulation holds steady at ±3%, ensuring consistent power delivery to sensitive components. The unit also features a low standby power consumption, further enhancing its efficiency and suitability for power-sensitive applications.
The MPL-05SC’s compact design (1.04 x 0.58 x 0.43 inches) simplifies integration into PCB designs with limited space while adhering to industry-standard layout specifications. The unit’s mechanical layout and pin configuration are designed for compatibility with standard industry practices, ensuring straightforward assembly and reliable operation within complex systems.
