MicroPower Direct announces the release of the MI2000BRU series, a 20W DC/DC converter in a compact 1’x1’ case. The MI2000BRU series supports an ultra-wide 4:1 input range, with models available for nominal inputs of 24V (covering 9-36 VDC) and 48V (spanning 18-75 VDC).
Featuring a maximum isolation voltage of 1,500 VDC and a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C, the MI2000BRU series is built to withstand demanding conditions while maintaining stable performance. The converters achieve efficiency levels up to 91%, minimizing power losses and supporting applications with stringent energy requirements.
Output options include single and dual voltages, with tightly regulated output accuracy within ±1%. The MI2000BRU series is designed with load regulation within ±0.5% and line regulation within ±0.2%, ensuring precise voltage delivery across varying conditions. Each model incorporates robust protection features, including over-voltage, over-current, and short-circuit protection.
For noise-sensitive environments, the MI2000BRU converters meet CISPR32/EN55032 standards for Class A radiated and conducted emissions. The converters are also designed to handle electromagnetic challenges, featuring ESD immunity up to ±8kV (air) and ±6kV (contact), as well as EFT and surge immunity rated to ±2kV.
Each converter in the MI2000BRU series includes a control pin for remote on/off functionality, allowing engineers more control over power management in dynamic systems. The compact footprint (1.0 x 1.0 x 0.472 inches) and industry-standard pinout simplify integration into existing designs, making it an ideal choice for engineers seeking a compact, reliable, and high-performance power solution.
